Meet the Kenney family! We had the opportunity of getting to know them recently when they were picked to appear on the Baytree neighborhood magazine that Ray does the covers for monthly. I took a few minutes to chat with mom, Kim, about her family and her experience and wanted to share.

Kim is a registered dietitian and nutritionist as well as the business owner of Nutrition2U. Her hubby, Hai, is a physician at the Vascular Vein Center. Kim and Hai are parents to three awesome kids that all go to Holy Trinity. Their oldest, Maddy is sixteen and is known for her artistic flair. She’s a painter, sketch artist, illustrator, graphic designer, and all around artist. She also has a musical gift and plays the clarinet She’s a talented young lady!

Next in line is Avery. She’s fourteen and is playing Varsity Golf. She’s an accomplished athlete. Following in both of his sisters’ footsteps in the youngest sibling, Luke, who plays the trumpet and plays golf. Kim couldn’t stop telling me how great her three kids are and how proud she is of them.

           Kim knew about Ray and Baldino Studios but had no plans to get a family portrait taken; that was until she was approached by the school to star as the cover family for the magazine. Kim told me she was really excited because she knew that she wanted to get a family portrait taken but could never really find the opportunity with her family’s busy schedule. She was thrilled!

“We had a family portrait taken before but not like this. Not this quality. We’ve had photos taken. These, well these, are wonderful.” She knew that having her portraits taken by Ray was going to be a great experience. She knew of his reputation throughout the community and saw his work displayed at Amici’s. “We knew he was excellent in his work and we were so excited to have him do out portraits.” “Ray makes it easy, especially with the kids. He was so wonderful and made them laugh. They enjoyed the process and made it comfortable. You should go and talk to him and you’ll see how he is and you’ll want to do it.”
